Police are conducting a death investigation after a woman's body was found in an abandoned home in the South Side's Englewood neighborhood.
Officers found the body at about 6 p.m. Thursday in the 6300 block of South Laflin Avenue after people in the neighborhood flagged down a squad car, said Chicago Police Officer Darryl Baety.
The woman was identified as Juanita Wilson, 35, of the 8000 block of South Ada Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Baety said there was no information immediately available about trauma to the body. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
