An 18-year-old was killed and a 15-year-old wounded Tuesday night in the city's West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side, police said.
The pair was standing on the street in the 11900 block of South Normal Avenue at about 7:20 p.m., when a third male approached and began arguing with one of the victims, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.
That person pulled a handgun and shot both teens before fleeing on foot, Alfaro said
Killed was Cordre Hayes, of the 11800 block of South Parnell Ave. , who was hot in the side.
The 15-year-old boy was shot in the chest.
Both victims were rushed to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said, but the 18-year-old was pronounced dead at 11:06 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Police didn't say what the argument was over and didn't have a description of the gunman.
No arrests have been made
