1 dead, 2 wounded in South Side shooting

One person was dead and two others were injured in a drive-by shooting this morning in the Fuller Park neighborhood on the South Side, authorities said.

Gunshots rang out at about 2:35 a.m. in the 5100 block of

South Princeton Avenue

, immediately west of the Dan Ryan Expressway, police said.

The three adult victims, two men and a woman, were standing on a porch when a gunman inside a passing vehicle opened fire, police said in a preliminary account.

Dante Lawrence, 30, of the 5000 block of South Princeton, was struck multiple times and was dead at the scene, authorities said. A 34-year-old woman was struck in the side, while a 29-year-old man was shot in the leg.

The wounded victims were taken to Stroger Hospital for treatment. The woman was listed in serious condition and the man in good condition police said.

No arrests had been made this morning
