A 40-year-old man who was found shot in the back and lying face down in the city's West Garfield Park neighborhood Sunday night has died, officials said.
Police responded to a call of a person shot about 10:28 p.m. on the 900 block of South Pulaski Road. Arriving officers found the victim lying face down on the ground, police said.
The victim was Antwaun Price of the 3800 block of North Polk Street, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Price, who suffered a gunshot wound to his upper back, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
As of 4 a.m., no one was in custody for the slaying, police said. Harrison Area detectives were investigating.
