2 dead in Southwest Side wreck

A man and a woman died early Sunday morning when the sport-utility vehicle they were traveling in hit a utility pole on the Southwest Side.
The victims, who both appeared to be in their 20s, were dead on the scene in the 3700 block of South California Avenue in the city's Brighton Park neighborhood. The man was driving and the woman was his passenger.
They were inside a vehicle that was northbound on California when the driver lost control and hit the pole about 11:35 p.m.
