The attack occurred around 2 p.m. Thursday when a 22-year-old woman was approached by a man as she sat at the bus stop in the 6300 block of North Clark Street.
The man sat down next to the woman then grabbed her by the throat and told her to come with him. He He forced the woman a few blocks northeast to the 1500 block of West Highland Avenue, where he assaulted her. The man then fled with the woman's credit card.
Police described the attacker as black with a medium complexion, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 300 pounds and wearing a white striped polo shirt and blue jeans.
