Man found in abandoned South Side house died of cold exposure

A man found by an Englewood neighborhood resident in an abandoned building died from cold exposure.
The man, believed to be in his 60s, remained unidentified today after being found Thursday in the abandoned house in the 5700 block of South LaSalle Street. He died from hypothermia following cold exposure in an accident, the medical examiner’s office determined following an autopsy today.
Police were called to the home about 8:20 a.m. Thursday after a neighborhood resident found the man unresponsive in the house.
