Boy, 15, shot on Southeast Side, critically injured
A 15-year-old boy was shot and critically injured in the East Side neigborhood and stumbled into a neighborhood drugstore seeking help.The boy was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition following the shooting in the 10500 block of South Avenue L about 4:50 p.m.
Following the shooting, the boy walked into a Walgreens Drug store at 2611 E. 106th St., seeking help.
The boy was shot in the lower back in the 3600 block of East 106th Street about 5 p.m. and taken to the hospital
31 year old man shot in Little Village
At about 6:30 p.m., a 31-year-old man was shot in the 2600 block of South Kolin Avenue in the Little Village neighborhood.Police said a male shooter approached on foot and shouted gang slogans before firing a gun. The shooter fled in a dark-colored van.
The man was taken with a gunshot wound to the buttocks to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
