A 56-year-old man was charged in connection with a crash that killed a 56-year-old
woman who was trying to get in a car on the city's Southwest Side.
Jesus Luna, 51, of Burbank, was charged with DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol
count of .08, operating a vehicle without insurance, failure to reduce speed,
reckless driving and aggravated DUI causing an accident and death.
Judith Bramwell of the 5700 block of South St. Louis Avenue was struck about
2 a.m. while she was trying to get in a car on the 6500 block of South Pulaski
Road.
She was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead at 11:25 p.m.
