A man who was shot multiple times in the South Side’s West Woodlawn neighborhood
was taken to a hospital this afternoon.
Someone fired a gun and hit the
22-year-old multiple times in the 6200 block of South Vernon Avenue, the shooting happened at
1 p.m.
The victim may have been riding a bicycle when he was shot.
Paramedics took the man to
John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County where his condition has stabilized
as of 3:30 p.m..
No one else was wounde the shooter, described
as a “skinny” male wearing a black coat and hood, has not been arrested.
