Man seriously wounded in Englewood shooting

A man was seriously wounded this afternoon in a shooting on the South Side in the Englewood neighborhood.
Chicago Fire Department paramedics responded to a call of a person shot about 2:19 p.m. on the 5600 block of South Bishop Street. Officers were called to the scene about 2:21 p.m.,.
The person was taken in serious-to-critical condition to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, he said. Preliminary reports stated a man in his 20s suffered wounds to his groin and left leg.
