A 24-year-old man was killed when he lost control of his motor scooter on North Lake Shore Drive a short distance from Lincoln Park.
Killed was Abdul Yasin, of the 4500 block of North Whipple Avenue. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
Yasin was riding his scooter at about 1600 north on the Drive at about 8 p.m. Tuesday when he apparently lost control of it.
Yasin was tossed from the scooter, possibly over a fence that borders the roadway.
He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
