Police arrested a woman who tried to hold up a Lincoln Park drug store with a phony hand grenade.
Several employees at Braun Drugs managed to subdue the 26-year-old woman until police arrived and arrested her.
The incident happened at about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday at the drug store in the 2000 block of North Clark Street.
Police said that the desheveled-looking Chicago woman waited for customers to leave the store before she approached several store employees at the pharmacy counter.
She then pulled the fake grenade and demanded cash, police said. But the employees grabbed the woman and held her until Near North District officers arrived and took her into custody,
