Person injured by freight train on Near West Side

A person was found injured by a freight train on railroad tracks on the Near West side this evening.
Fire crews were called to Union Pacific Railroad tracks that run parallel to Talman Avenue, at Washington Boulevard, about 8:15 p.m..
The man, who appeared to have been injured by a train, was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious-to-critical condition.
