Chicago Police conducted a reverse sting in a South Side park yesterday, code name "Operation keep ghetto wilders in the ghetto" According to Police, the reverse sting was set up in an effort to stop the 'wilding" incidents that have been occurring in Chicago's Downtown, lakefront beaches, and on Chicago's buses and trains. According to a Chicago Police Sergeant in charge of the sting (who we will not identify due to the nature of his work), the reverse sting got under way at about 2 p.m. when an under cover Police Officer pretending to be blind and in a wheelchair, holding a laptop computer and being led by a guide dog, began to roll through the South Side park. Almost immediately the wheelchair bound Officer was set upon by five youths who flip him out of his wheelchair and attempted to flee with his chair, laptop and guide dog. Other undercover Officers, who were pretending to be park employees and bums immediately came to the Officer's aid, arresting all five offenders.
