2 shot in the Gage Park neighborhood

About ten minutes after midnight, two men, 23 and 27, were shot in the 5200 block of South Homan Avenue in the Gage Park neighborhood. Both were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition and expected to survive. The 23-year-old man was shot in the hip and the older man was shot in the stomach. Both were sitting on a porch when two people approached them and one started shooting. The pair of attackers fled north on foot.
