2 charged in Grand Crossing home invasion

Two people, including a 16-year-old boy, were charged with breaking into a home on the South South where a shooting occurred.
Jermalle Brown, 19, of the 7100 block of South East End Avenue was charged with committing a home invasion on the 1400 block of East 73rd Street in the Grand Crossing neighborhood at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.
In addition to Brown, a 16-year-old was also charged.
Earlier, police said between four or five males forced their way into the home and announced a robbery.
One of the group accidentally shot a fellow attacker, 16, in the back of the head, police said. He’s in critical condition at John H. Stroger Jr., Hospital of Cook County.
The homeowner wasn't injured.

Brown is expected in bond court later today
