Woman shot multiple times in Lawndale

A woman was shot multiple times Wednesday night in the Lawndale neighborhood.

 She was standing on the sidewalk in the 2600 block of West 21st Place at 8:58 p.m. when a male approached and fired several shots at her.

 The woman, 36, was shot twice in the back and once in the arm.

At 11:21 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in the arm and back while he was sitting on a porch in the 2500 block of West 12th Place, according to a release from police news affairs.
An attacker approached and fired shots, striking him.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
