Police seek suspect in Southwest Side robberies

Police today released a surveillance photo of a man sought in at least four recent robberies on the Southwest Side.
An alert from the Chicago Lawn police district warns businesses that in the incidents, a lone robber entered a small retail business, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the register and store safe. The robber then fled.
Police said the robber described as a black man of 30-32 years of age, 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-2 and 160 to 170 pounds. In at least one of the robberies, captured on video surveillance, the man was wearing a dark coat and dark knitted hat.
The four robberies identified in the alert are:
About 8:55 p.m. March 27 on the 5000 block of South Pulaski Avenue.
About 8:45 p.m. March 28 on the 4800 block of South Cicero Avenue.
About 4:30 p.m. April 6 on the 4700 block of West. 47th Street.
About 8:55 p.m. April 9 on the 6100 block of South Archer Avenue.
