1 killed, 2 hurt in South Side crash

One person was killed and two were injured when a vehicle slammed into a pole in the South Chicago neighborhood this morning.
The crash  happened just before 4 a.m. in the 8800 block of South Chicago Avenue.
One of the injured occupants was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, and the other was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Both were in critical condition
Marsela Castillo, of the 11100 block of South Avenue O, was pronounced dead at Trinity Hospital at 4:30 a.m, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
