Man shot during carjacking in Bronzeville neighborhood

A carjacker shot a man in the leg while taking his cash and minivan in the Bronzeville neighborhood.
The shooting happened near the victim's green Mercury Villager in the 440 block of East 49th Street about 9:45 p.m..
The carjacker drove off in the minivan but police found it abandoned shortly afterward in the 6700 block of South East End Avenue.
The minivan's owner, who is 23, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
