A 27-year-old passenger of a dark-colored Chevy car was shot during a carjacking
in the Austin neighborhood about 10:35 p.m..
He and the driver of the car were ordered out near Race and Laramie avenues,
and the 27-year-old was shot. Someone drove him to West Suburban Medical Center
in Oak Park and he was transferred to Stroger Hospital. He had been
shot in the chest.
