Man shot while walking with father dies

A 19-year-old man who was walking with his father early this morning near his home in the Albany Park neighborhood when an assailant shot him has died.Sameer Burakat, 19, was shot in the 4900 block of North Whipple Street and was pronounced dead at 9:04 a.m. at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. The man lived on the same block.
Burakat had been walking with his father about 2:45 a.m. when a gunman asked him if he was affiliated with a certain gang and then fired about five times, hitting him in the head. No one else was injured.
