Man killed in Lawndale neighborhood attack

A man in his 20s was shot in the head in the Lawndale neighborhood Wednesday night.
The man was taken in Mount Sinai Hospital.
Someone shot the man in the 700 block of South Independence Boulevard about 8 p.m.
The man, identified as Dominque Green by the Cook County medical examiner's office, was first taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital. He was pronounced dead there at 8:08 p.m.. He lived in the 1700 block of South 6th Avenue in Maywood.
