Baby suffocated, death ruled a homicide

An autopsy today determined the death of a baby girl found unresponsive in an Englewood home earlier this week was a homicide.
Emonie Beasley-Brown died of suffocation and her death was ruled a homicide.
Emonie, of the 3900 block of South Wells Street, was taken to University of Chicago’s Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition Tuesday from a home in the 6000 block of South Bishop Street.
