In the latest fatal shooting a 47-year-old man sitting inside a
vehicle was shot in chest by an unknown gunman near 98th and Throop streets in
the Longwood Manor neighborhood on the South Side at about 12:40 a.m. this
morning.
The man, Perry L. Williams, drove himself about a mile to a Chicago firehouse
on West 104th Street, where paramedics took him to Advocate Christ Medical
Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead
