An 11-year-old boy was critically hurt when a car hit him this afternoon on I-57
in the Far South Side's Washington Heights neighborhood, At 2:23 p.m., a car that was northbound on I-57 near 103rd Street struck
the pedestrian.
The boy was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in
Oak Lawn.
“He was with a couple of other kids on the side of the highway and he just
happened to step out in front of the car,''.
The wreck was an accident.
It doesn’t appear that the driver did anything wrong
