Bail set at $100K for machete assault

A Chicago man violated an order of protection by waving a machete at his mother-in-law.
As he brandished the weapon around 9 p.m. Saturday in the Englewood neighborhood, Aaron Bell, 38, told the woman, “If you call the police, I’m gonna kill you with this machete”.
Bell dropped the blade when officers arrived on South Carpenter Street near 60^th Street. Bell, of the 6000 block of South Sangamon Street, was charged with aggravated assault and violating an order of protection that has been in force since March.
