16-year-old shot dead in Englewood

16-year-old was also killed earlier Thursday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood, police said. He was pronounced dead about 4:30 p.m. after getting shot about 3:45 p.m. in the 5900 block of South Laflin Street, authorities said. A spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office identified him as Nathaniel Gonzalez, of the 4700 block of South Damen Avenue. Police said someone inside a dark vehicle shot at Gonzalez while he was standing on the sidewalk with a group of people.
