Man fatally hit by car at CTA bus stop on West Side

A man was hit and killed while standing at a CTA bus stop in the Fifth City neighborhood on the West Side early this morning, officials said.
A 29-year-old man was standing at 3400 W. Jackson Blvd. when he was struck and killed by a car, officials said.
The car then fled the scene, police said, citing preliminary information.
He was pronounced dead at 3:50 a.m. at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
