MAN SHOT DEAD IN WASHINGTON PARK

Slaying happened about 1:34 a.m. on the 300 block of

East 60th Street

in the Washington Park neighborhood.
Preliminary reports said a man, described as in his 20s, was shot multiple times in a drive-by. He was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The victim was identified as Stephen Hill of the 2500 block of

East 77th Street

, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office.
