54 year old man shot in South Shore

In the city's South Shore neighborhood, a 54-year-old man shot himself in the abdomen in the 7200 block of South Paxton Avenue at 3:15 p.m.
He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where his condition had stabilized.
