23-year-old woman and 16-year-old girl shot in Englewood

A woman and a girl were driven to St. Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center by a friend after they were shot about 2:15 a.m. while trying to leave a parking lot in Englewood. The three were pulling away from a parking space in the 5800 block of South Wood Street when a group of males outside started arguing and someone opened fire. A 16-year-old girl was shot in the upper lip and a 23-year-old woman suffered a graze wound to the abdomen
