1 injured in South Side shooting

A South Side shooting has left a person critically injured this afternoon.
The shooting happened at about 1 p.m. on the 8200 block of South Champlain Avenue.
The male victim was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr., Hospital of Cook County in critical condition after being shot in the head
