23-year-old man shot dead in Lawndale

At about 1:20 a.m., gunfire claimed another life, this time in the Lawndale neighborhood.
Police responding to the scene found a 23-year-old man lying in an alley near the 1900 block of South Drake Avenue, bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds.
Pierre Howelett, of the 14300 block of South Halsted Street in Harvey, died on the scene
