70-year-old charged with South Loop shooting

70-year-old man has been charged with shooting a 41-year-old man on Monday.
Johnnie Jones, of the 2000 block of South Michigan Avenue, was charged with aggravated battery with a handgun.
He's accused of shooting a 41-year-old in the same block about 1:20 p.m. Monday. It's not clear what prompted the shooting.
The person shot was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds to the chest and leg.
