4 men shot in Austin

Four men were shot Monday night while standing on the sidewalk in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
The shooting broke out about 9:25 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of South Lavergne Avenue after three people approached the group on foot.
The men who were shot range in age from 19 to 52.
A 25-year-old shot in the shoulder was in serious condition at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. A 48-year-old man was also taken to Stroger after being shot in the buttocks, and his condition has been stabilized.
Also injured were a 19-year-old, struck in the upper left thigh, and a 52-year-old, shot in the buttocks, the leg and the ankle. Both were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized.
