A woman and a 17-year-old boy were wounded this evening in a shooting on the
South Side in the city’s East Chatham neighborhood.
The
shooting happened about 5:42 p.m. on the 7900 block of South Drexel Avenue.
A 17-year-old boy was wounded and taken in critical
condition to Stroger Hospital. A 42-year-old woman also was wounded but there
was no immediate information available about where she was taken for treatment
or her condition
The boy was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A
42-year-old woman also was wounded.
The boy, identified as Lucian Dreux by the Cook County medical examiner's
office.
