Judge Donald Panarese issued the no-bail order during a hearing Saturday for 22-year-old Darron Williams, who is charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
Prosecutors said Williams, of the 8900 block of South Brandon Avenue, fatally shot Tony Dunn about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday near East 63rd Street and South Martin Luther King Drive.
Police officers witnessed Williams firing at Dunn, 19.
Williams then shot at the officers and they returned fire, hitting him in the leg. The officers were not hurt, but two bullets hit a squad car. Dunn was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead early the next morning
