25-year-old man shot in South Chicago

At about 5:30 p.m.  a 25-year-old man was shot in the leg in the South Chicago neighborhood and walked into Advocate Trinity Hospital with the wound. He was driving in the 8100 block of South South Chicago Avenue when he heard gunshots and was struck in the knee, police said. A friend drove him to the hospital, where his condition stabilized, but police said he'll be transferred to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
